Company InformationIn 1984 Steve and Rene Troesh moved up to the Santa Maria Valley to start their own Ready Mix Company. With Steve in the Mixer Truck delivering loads, Rene was in the office dispatching the truck and taking orders. Throughout the years they expanded their company too two location and over 100 employees. In 1995, the Troesh's wanted to expand their company a little more; so after doing some research they recognized the need for a regulated location to dump concrete and asphalt. In 2002, they setup a portable recycling plant and started crushing the concrete and asphalt that was brought into the yard. In 2006 the Troesh's where ready to Semi-Retire, so they sold the Ready Mix company but kept the recycling site. Now there daughter and two of their most loyal employees from the Ready Mix company runs the recycling site. Since 2006 over 300,000 tons of concrete and asphalt waste have been diverted from our landfills and recycled into a high performing alternative road base material. We like to think that we are making a big impact on the environment. By taking non-degradable material from the public, landfills use is minimized. Using recycled base fulfills the California Integrated Waste Management Act (50% diversion mandate) and helps reduce costs on projects because recycled materials use 15% less volume than virgin materials. How we produce our Recycle Material...
The production of a quality product begins with the material accepted, sorted and prepared properly and ends with a tightly managed production process. Our crew is trained and skilled at multitasking and maintaining an awareness of their surroundings and the production line at all times.
Before the raw material is loaded into the plant, it inspected and separated by the pulverizer operator breaking the material down. The loader operator then loads the broken down raw material into the plant where it first processed through a jaw crusher. Once the pieces run through the jaw, they are processed through a heavy magnet. Immediately following the magnet a hand picker is stationed on the belt to pick out any foreign material that is not picked up by the magnet. It is then processed through two phased screen shakers and a cone crusher through a closed circuit process until broken down to 3/4 minus rock. We are conveniently located at Highway 101
